Safety First: Sumo Steaks Progress Continues

The progress continues at Sumo Steaks. Our Fire Alarm is installed, inspected, certified, and ready for action.

And in case you missed our last update, our equipment is in. We’re moving right along at Sumo Steaks and before long, we’ll be serving up North Philly’s own cheesesteak.

It’s a good idea to start thinkin’ – do you like your steak wit’ or wit-out? Wiz or American?

How Cool Is Sumo Steak’s Cool Roof?

Sumo Steaks is continuing it’s commitment to energy efficiency by installing a Cool Roof.

Did you know Cool Roofs directly offset Carbon Dioxide and delay global warming?

Cool roofs provide a number of other benefits beyond urban heat island mitigation, including:

  • Reduced energy use: A cool roof transfers less heat to the building below, so the building stays cooler and uses less energy for air conditioning.

SUMO STEAKS IS GOING GREEN! … Just another step in the right direction.

Answer: A WHOLE LOT

We have literally been waiting months for this seemingly small piece of paper.

This, friends, is our Hood Permit.

The City of Philadelphia isn’t exactly the easiest to work with, but our legal and architect teams got the job done. The Hood will be installed Thursday.
